IBEX Preclinical Research, Inc., was founded in 2003 to provide preclinical testing services for pharmaceutical and medical device companies, but the main focus of IBEX is to do everything in our power to bless the lives of people throughout the world. Dr. Packer is a veterinarian that has over 10 years of training and experience in laboratory animal medicine and experimental surgery.

IBEX has proven to be a trusted outsourced partner and provider of preclinical surgical studies in a variety of laboratory animal species. By focusing on our core values of quality research and superior client service we have grown into research leaders in experimental surgical studies including orthopedics, soft tissue and vascular surgery. We also provide non-surgical studies such as nonsurgical drug toxicity and PK studies.

We are located in the beautiful mountain valleys of Northern Utah and have recently completed a second facility expansion to meet the increasing demand for our services. Dr. Joshua Packer

Dr. Packer purchased IBEX Preclinical Research in April 2022. His decade plus experience in the preclinical industry includes work in GLP, medical device, experimental surgery, model development, and contract research arenas. He has extensive experience in interventional radiology, cardiothoracic and neurosurgery (invasive and non-invasive). His business experience includes company founder and experience in raising venture capital. Dr. Packer’s 10 plus year biomedical research career highlights include:
